Rukman has over 38+ years of multidisciplinary management experience in the mercantile sector focused on Sales, Marketing, Distribution and General Management in leading local and multinational Business Organizations in Sri Lanka and overseas.

He has been instrumental in leading corporate transformation and development initiatives, with exceptional competencies in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Rukman's career spans top management positions in many leading organizations, such as being the Chief Officer - Business Development at Sri Lanka Insurance, General Manager - Marketing and Distribution at Janashakthi Insurance, Assistant Vice President at John Keells Hotels, General Manager - Marketing and Distribution at Union Assurance and Deputy General Manager - Distribution at Eagle Insurance (now known as AIA Insurance). He was also previously a Board Director at Amana Takaful Life.

He possesses a high level of personal credibility, integrity and self-esteem with excellent people management and networking abilities.

Rukman was chosen as one of the Best 50 Marketing Professionals in Asia at the 7th CMO Asia Awards, held in Singapore in 2016. He has also gained and shared industry expertise in many renowned local and international conferences.

Nilushan Somarathna joined MBSL Insurance Co Ltd as the Chief Financial Officer with effect from 8th February 2023. Nilushan is a well-qualified financial professional with extensive experience in Financial Accounting and Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, Integrated Reporting, Strategic Planning, Budgeting, Investment Management, Credit Management, Forecasting, Taxation and Auditing.

Nilushan counts almost 20 years of experience in the field with direct exposure to the financial field at PricewaterhouseCoopers (Assistant Manager), Union Assurance PLC (Finance Manager), People’s Insurance PLC (Chief Financial Officer) as well as State Mortgage & Investment Bank as Deputy General Manager - Finance & Planning before he joined the Company. Nilushan holds a BSc. Business Administration (Sp.) Degree/ University of Sri Jayawardenapura, Colombo & MBA /University of Southern Queensland, Australia and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK and Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA)/ CA Sri Lanka, Colombo.

Induka Counts over 25 years of experience in the Insurance Industry particularly in the areas of Sales, Marketing, Sales staff training and Branch & Regional Operations. Induka holds a BA Degree in Sociology with Second Class Honors’ upper division and MBA in Marketing from the University of Colombo. He holds Diploma in Marketing from the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM). Further, he was awarded N.D.S. Silva memorial price for the best student in Sociology in 1996 and also Awarded Best Student’s Subject price for Behavioral Aspects of Marketing and Principles of Organization and Management, respectively in the examination held in November 2003 and November 2004 by the SLIM.

He is also a Life Ordinary Member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing and a member of the Association of Sri Lankan Sociologists.

Sajeewa brings excellence to the Company's Distribution Network with over 30 years of expertise in Distribution and Management in both the Life and General Insurance Industries.

He holds a vast array of past managerial experience in organizations such as Ceylinco Life, HNB Assurance and HNB General Insurance.

Sajeewa is a Fellow Member of LUTC and has many notable Sales and Management achievements under his name. He was awarded Top Sales Awards at Ceylinco Life, and National Level Sales Awards at HNB Assurance and HNB General Insurance. He was also recognized with Top Category Management Awards in previous organizations.
